Today, at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, we joyfully began our English Week celebrations. On this exciting first day, the talented students of Class 10 performed a meaningful and entertaining skit in English, spreading important messages with confidence and creativity.

After the skit, an engaging question-answer session was held on English language topics. Students eagerly participated, and those who answered correctly were congratulated and rewarded with gifts, making the session both educational and encouraging.

It was a wonderful start to the week, igniting enthusiasm for learning English in a fun and inspiring way.

In addition to the student competitions, the ‘English Mega Event Competition: Poster Making Activity for Parents’ was also held. The competition, titled ‘Words into Art – Parent Poster Showcase,’ was open to parents of students, who could participate individually or as a family entry. The themes for the posters included ‘Digital Parenting in Modern Times,’ ‘My Child’s English Learning Journey,’ and ‘Strong Roots Strong Wings.’
From 53 parents who submitted thier posters on 12/07/25, a selection was made based on certain criteria.

Overall, the English Week Celebration Mega Event Competitions were a huge success, with students and parents participating enthusiastically and showcasing their talents. The events were a wonderful opportunity for the school community to come together and celebrate the importance of English language and literature.

Children of LKG and UKG came dressed in bright red outfits and brought along red-colored items from home, including toy cars, bulldozers, balloons, and more. Some students confidently recited poems on the theme of red, adding a special charm to the celebration.

To delight the little ones, teachers distributed cartoon-shaped apple cutouts and chocolates, making the event extra sweet.

The celebration concluded with the Principal, Coordinators, and all in-charge teachers coming together for a cheerful group photo with the LKG and UKG students, capturing the beautiful memories of Red Day at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore.

The competition was held among four house teams — Rugveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharveda — with each team comprising four students. Together, these teams displayed remarkable teamwork and artistic skill as they meticulously adorned their foreheads with vibrant colors, intricate designs, and meaningful patterns, reflecting both their creativity and deep cultural understanding.

The competition not only celebrated our rich heritage but also fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among participants. It served as a beautiful reminder of the spiritual significance of tilak in our culture and offered students a meaningful opportunity to connect with their traditions.

At Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Hostel, a special Badge Pinning Ceremony was held to honour the dedicated Seva students who selflessly contribute their efforts in various fields of service. Students engaged in Gurukul Arts Seva, Store Seva, Bhandar Seva, Murti Seva, and many other areas were recognized and appreciated for their commitment, discipline, and sincerity.

The ceremony began with the blessings of saints, followed by the pinning of badges, symbolizing trust, responsibility, and spiritual dedication. These badges serve as a mark of pride and motivation for the students to continue their seva with even more devotion and discipline.

The Investiture Ceremony at Sri Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Bangalore, was a proud and inspiring occasion marking the official installation of the newly elected student council for the academic year. The ceremony began with prayers and blessings from revered saints and Swamijis. The distinguished dignitaries — Professor K.C. Mishra, Ph.D., Mr. Vikas Singh, International Athlete, Mr. Amit Chandrai, Assistant Superintendent of Police, and Dr. Ravi Kumar M, Chief Medical Officer, Coca-Cola India — graced the event, motivating the young leaders with their presence.

A highlight of the ceremony was the impressive march past, where the new council members and house contingents marched in perfect coordination, demonstrating unity and discipline. Adding a hands-on dimension, students observed plant cells under a microscope, clearly identifying structures like the cell wall, chloroplasts, and nucleus. This enriched their conceptual understanding and brought textbook knowledge to life.
